Mountains of filled KKIS bags for the kids of Playa del Carmen
During the hot summer months many, many hands helped fill KKIS bags with school supplies for the children of Playa del Carmen. Notebooks, pencil cases (filled with pens, pencils, sharpeners, glue sticks, scissors and erasers), geometry sets, pocket folders, packs of colored pencils and packs of colored markers were packed according to grade level. Plastic milk crates were filled with KKIS bags and stacked high at KKIS headquarters.
Helpers came from CECYTE high school where KKIS volunteers have been teaching conversational English, from Seaside Rotary, from appeals on social media websites, from visitors to Playa who wanted to help along with friends and family.
KKIS bags packed: 2,300. Thanks to all!
