When the KKIS Project delivered 23 backpacks a couple weeks ago in the Colosio to families who had left applications with us at the end of the summer, more applicants arrived. We took them all trusting that funding would follow and it did. There were 59 children in need. We made an appeal to Seaside Rotary members and received help. Financial donations, backpacks and supplies rolled in from many sources. Backpacks were ordered and arrived in good time, school supplies were purchased and packed into waiting backpacks, phone calls were made to remind families where and when we would arrive and they were all delivered this afternoon. Smiling faces all around.
