The Hard Rock Cafe Playa del Carmen had a rockin’ opening on Saturday the 24th with a concert called “Rock with a Cause”, and The KKIS Project was one of the two chosen charities.
Giving back to the community is one of the goals for the Hard Rock Cafe restaurants all over the World, so Playa del Carmen wasn’t the exception.
As part of their grand opening in Playa del Carmen, Managers and Directors at Hard Rock Cafe decided to donate this concert to two charities in Playa del Carmen: Fundación Aitana, a nonprofit that works with children with cancer in all Quintana Roo, and The KKIS Project, a nonprofit focused in public education in Playa del Carmen.
With only a $30 pesos donation, both locals and travelers enjoyed a rock concert by the band Chillakillers, who played a tribute to AC/DC, Metallica and Guns N’ Roses, while keeping kids in school.
With the money donated from the people who attended the concert, The KKIS Project will be able to buy school supplies for children in Playa del Carmen, so thank you for your donation! You all rock!
Thank you, Hard Rock Cafe!
Big shout out to Javier Espinoza, Operations Director; Fernanda Gárate, Sales and Marketing Manager; Liby Valenzuela, Sales Coordinator; Francisco González, General Manager; Aldo Vargas, Franchise Area Manager, and all the entire team at Hard Rock Cafe Playa del Carmen! You are all rockstars!
