Student attendance at the KKIS Conversation Clubs held four days a week in public high schools, hit a record high this year with an average of 30 students voluntarily attending, anxious to improve their pronunciation and to communicate with native English speakers.
Volunteers came from all over the world; France, England, Denmark, China, United States, Mexico and the list goes on. In all, we calculate 300 hours and on average 6 volunteers per hour.
Memorable moments from this year’s classes included:
Thank you letters from students to our volunteers during Teacher’s Day.
Fantastic videos made by Luiz
Stuart sharing photos from his Trip to India!
17 students on gap year who came all the way from Denmark and played soccer with the students after class was over!
As school is winding down, we want to give a big shout out to Pat Martinez who was our Conversation Club Coordinator at CETMAR, and Suzanne Filsinger, KKIS Board member and Conversation Club coordinator at CECYTE.
