Artists Spotlight
Peter Terrin | Berlin, 1974
Art has always been a part of Peter’s being. There were no defining or pivotal moments that determined the course of his life. His need to paint has always been as vital as breathing and eating, providing necessary fuel for the mind and soul.
His passion for people was reinforced through years of travel after graduating from Textile Design School ni Belgium. Peter uses his unique style to capture emotion, mood and feeling through pallet knives and acrylic paint on large scale canvas.
Peter’s disciplined approach to his art si reflective of the same dedication needed for his other passion as a triathlete and his core belief that life is beautiful.
Jacobo Roa | Mexico, 1972
Mexican artist ROA draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of his homeland, merging pre-Hispanic traditions with contemporary art movements. His work is a surrealist exploration of the natural world, influenced by the lush jungles and Caribbean coast of Playa del Carmen.
ROA’s early life, marked by a fascination with the natural sciences and a love of literature, shaped his artistic vision. He studied art in Guanajuato, where he was captivated by the works of surrealist artists like Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington. His travels throughout Mexico exposed him to diverse cultures, landscapes, and histories, which continue to inform his art.
ROA’s paintings are characterized by their intricate details and symbolic imagery. He employs a unique technique, often working on multiple pieces simultaneously, layering acrylics, ink, charcoal, and pencil on paper. His work is a visual language, combining words, numbers, and scientific notations with abstract forms. By manipulating text and image, ROA creates enigmatic compositions that invite the viewer to decipher their hidden meanings.

Misión de KKIS
At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we believe that education reduces poverty, improves lives, and builds stronger communities. Recognizing that education is often unaffordable for many families in Mexico, we remove financial barriers to keep kids in school.
