Global Team, Local Impact: Patch My PC Strengthens Partnership with KKIS

Education changes lives, and in December 2023, Randstad Canada proved it again. For the second year in a row, 253 volunteers gathered at the Atelier Hotel in Cancun to pack 300 backpacks with essential school supplies for local students in the Riviera Maya.

Volunteering in Cancun Makes a Big Impact

This volunteering in Cancun event wasn’t just about packing supplies. It was about investing in futures. Each backpack represents a student who can now walk into school with confidence, equipped to learn, grow, and thrive.

“We’re so glad to be able to give back to the community in Mexico.”
Patrick Poulin & Sebastien Morency, Randstad Canada

By volunteering in Cancun, Randstad employees did more than support education—they created ripple effects of opportunity throughout the region.

Empowering Through Education and Team Building

Randstad Canada’s commitment goes beyond this single event. Their team-building experience helped KKIS equip students with supplies and motivation to succeed. This act of corporate volunteering in Cancun shows how companies can create meaningful impact while strengthening their teams.

“Without the help of a generous sponsor, I wouldn’t be in college studying right now.”
Elena, 2nd year Law Student and KKIS Scholar

Through community partnerships, we connect students with mentorship and career resources—bridging the gap between education and employment.

KKIS Vision

Improving lives through education.

KKIS (Keep Kids in School) works to build stronger communities in Playa del Carmen by eliminating financial obstacles to public education. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, and we are dedicated to making education accessible and affordable for promising students in our community.

KKIS Mission

At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we believe that education reduces poverty, improves lives, and builds stronger communities. Recognizing that education is often unaffordable for many families in Mexico, we remove financial barriers to keep kids in school.

Our programs provide financial assistance and help students develop essential language, life, and work skills

Through a combination of financial aid, community connections, and educational support, we achieve an impressive 86% high school graduation rate, compared to the national average of less than 50% throughout Mexico.
