Boys helped carry boxes of KKIS bags.

This was the first year KKIS Project has helped at a secondary school (junior high). This school is also located in the Nicte Ha neighborhood which is located at Ave. 40 and Calle 140, north of the Colosio. Bags were prepared for every student and packed into boxes for delivery. Boys who stood outside the gate helped us carry them inside where they were distributed. It seems these boys were late to school the first morning so needed to wait to be admitted. Inside lines of students in grades 7, 8 and 9 waited patiently for their hefty bag of school supplies.

We learned from the Director of the school that many of the recent graduates needed help going on to high school, as preparatoria is not free like lower schools.  KKIS took applications and helped many of these students with scholarships paying for their inscription fees, uniforms, books, school supplies and transportation.  Doing our best to Keep Kids in School!
