Wednesday, Nov. 30, was the final round for 1st and 2nd Grade in the Rudolfo Menendez elementary school math contest. It was held in the air conditioned auditorium of the public library on Ave. 30 and Calle 78. Lots of parents and supporters of the very young students were there. 10 kids filed on stage to bright red desks. Questions were projected on the screen and the children had 2 minutes to be the first with the correct answer. Very exciting! KKIS gave prizes to the top three winners in Grades 1 & 2. Tonight it will continue with Grades 3 & 4 and tomorrow Grades 5 & 6.
