KKIS Scholars who finish High School could have discounts and/or scholarships at Universidad Tecnológica de la Riviera Maya.
A few months ago, Malú Martínez, our Connections Program Coordinator, and Fred Uriarte, Board Member and Scholarships Director at KKIS, visited the Universidad Tecnológica de la Riviera Maya with the purpose of having an alliance to benefit Playa del Carmen’s youth population.
KKIS’ proposal was to have an agreement on which our scholars could have a scholarship or a discount at so they can all continue their studies and graduate from this University in Playa del Carmen.
Tarek Mattar, Director of Liaison at the University, accepted this partnership with KKIS as he’s always been interested in supporting charities who work for a better community in Playa del Carmen, specially when it’s about Education.
So, on June the 28th 2018, Board Members and Coordinators at KKIS and Teacher José Efraín Poot, Representative of UT Riviera Maya, participated in a formal ceremony where they signed the document.
After signing this partnership, Teacher José Efraín Poot hosted a tour around the University, where we met Gastronomy students who, in fluent English, explained to us more about this career and a special assignment. Watch the video here.
This partnership is now effective so our scholars can benefit from it in the coming school year.
Thank you, UT Riviera Maya!
