PMI Cancun Retreat: A Day of Giving Back
The PMI Retreat Impact was deeply felt in the local community during their annual retreat in Cancun. Project Management Institute (PMI) partnered with KKIS to assemble 300 backpacks filled with school supplies for local elementary students.
Team Building with Purpose
As part of the PMI Retreat Impact, volunteers shared an afternoon of laughter, teamwork, and service. The event blended CSR values with dynamic team-building activities, while 3 KKIS students shared personal stories that moved the entire group.
Packing with Heart
Instead of a traditional retreat day, PMI chose to engage directly with the community. Volunteers packed 300 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, alleviating the financial burden on families and equipping students with tools for success.
A Memorable Experience
The PMI Retreat Impact went beyond a getaway—it became a hands-on investment in education and community. The direct interaction between PMI volunteers and KKIS students created genuine moments of connection and joy.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, and we are dedicated to making education accessible and affordable for promising students in our community.
KKIS Mission
At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we believe that education reduces poverty, improves lives, and builds stronger communities. Recognizing that education is often unaffordable for many families in Mexico, we remove financial barriers to keep kids in school.
Our programs provide financial assistance and help students develop essential language, life, and work skills
Through a combination of financial aid, community connections, and educational support, we achieve an impressive 86% high school graduation rate, compared to the national average of less than 50% throughout Mexico.
