Corporate social Responsibility in Mexico
In an inspiring display of corporate social responsibility, top achievers from Stampin’ Up! gathered at Hotel Xcaret México—not just for leisure, but for impact. Led by CEO Sara Douglass, the Stampin’ Up! team joined forces with KKIS (Keeping Kids in School) to pack over 200 backpacks for students in the Riviera Maya region.
This powerful collaboration reflects both organizations’ deep belief that education changes lives.
200 Backpacks, 1 Shared Purpose: Education in Mexico
With over 150 Stampin’ Up! volunteers participating, this donation event helped provide vital school supplies for children across the region. These supplies go to local public school students—many of whom face financial barriers to completing their education.
Together, KKIS and Stampin’ Up! are demonstrating how CSR initiatives for companies can create tangible change.
CEO Sara Douglass: Leading with Purpose
Sara Douglass and her team exemplified how leadership can extend beyond business. By dedicating time, resources, and energy to volunteer team building with a cause, they reinforced their commitment to social impact.
“This event wasn’t just about packing backpacks,” Sara shared. “It was about giving students the tools—and the hope—they need to thrive.”
Why CSR Matters in Mexico
Playa del Carmen is a thriving tourist destination, but for many families, the cost of public education remains out of reach. By aligning corporate social responsibility with local nonprofit initiatives, companies like Stampin’ Up! help bridge that gap—giving students access to education and hope for the future.

KKIS Vision
Improving lives through education.
KKIS (Keep Kids in School) works to build stronger communities in Playa del Carmen by eliminating financial obstacles to public education. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, and we are dedicated to making education accessible and affordable for promising students in our community.
KKIS Mission
At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we believe that education reduces poverty, improves lives, and builds stronger communities. Recognizing that education is often unaffordable for many families in Mexico, we remove financial barriers to keep kids in school.
Our programs provide financial assistance and help students develop essential language, life, and work skills
Through a combination of financial aid, community connections, and educational support, we achieve an impressive 86% high school graduation rate, compared to the national average of less than 50% throughout Mexico.
Our success is driven by the generous support of individuals and corporations who share our values and vision.
