Joining Forces for Education

In August 2022, the Tranont School Supply Donation initiative brought together over 250 team members at their Hilton Tulum retreat, where they packed 300 backpacks filled with school supplies for local students in Playa del Carmen, supporting KKIS’s mission

At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we’re proud to partner with organizations like Tranont who prioritize giving back. This collaboration wasn’t just about backpacks—Tranont School Supply Donation was about creating opportunity and showing students they are supported.

Tranont Gives Back: Packing with Purpose

During their stay, Tranont hosted a dynamic team-building session with a twist. Instead of traditional activities, their volunteers focused on assembling essential school supplies. The result? Tranont School Supply Donation: 300 backpacks filled with tools that will help students succeed.

Bringing Smiles and Supplies

The Tranont team didn’t stop at packing, Tranont School Supply Donation—they delivered the backpacks directly to students. This hands-on involvement created genuine moments of connection and joy, reinforcing the human side of corporate giving.

Investing in Community Impact

Tranont School Supply Donation efforts align perfectly with KKIS’s mission: to remove barriers to education through resources and scholarships. Their contribution plays a role in the over 2,500 backpacks given out annually by KKIS, along with:

  • 225 public high school scholarships

  • 133 students graduated since the program began

KKIS Vision

Improving lives through Education by Keeping Kids in School.

KKIS (Keep Kids in School) works to build stronger communities in Playa del Carmen by eliminating financial obstacles to public education. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, and we are dedicated to making education accessible and affordable for promising students in our community.

KKIS Mission

At KKIS (Keeping Kids in School), we believe that education reduces poverty, improves lives, and builds stronger communities. Recognizing that education is often unaffordable for many families in Mexico, we remove financial barriers to keep kids in school.

Our programs provide financial assistance and help students develop essential language, life, and work skills

Through a combination of financial aid, community connections, and educational support, we achieve an impressive 86% high school graduation rate, compared to the national average of less than 50% throughout Mexico.
