Put Your Resources to Work—Where They Matter Most
Not everyone can sponsor a student, but many individuals and companies have access to resources, equipment, or professional skills that can make a major impact. At KKIS, in-kind donations play a critical role in helping us equip students, support classrooms, and grow our programs sustainably.
From backpacks and notebooks to laptops and design services, every donation helps us stretch our budget further and serve more students.
Why In-Kind Giving Matters
KKIS serves hundreds of students every year in Playa del Carmen and nearby communities. Many of these students can’t afford the essentials needed for academic success. Donated goods and services help us reduce operating costs and redirect funds toward scholarships, mentoring, and English instruction.
Whether you’re an individual with extra supplies, a business looking to give back, or a professional wanting to contribute your time and talents, there’s a way you can help.
What We Accept
Here’s what we currently need most. If you have something not listed, just ask—we may be able to use it!
School Supplies You Can Donate
Every year, KKIS fills and distributes thousands of backpacks to students in public schools across Playa del Carmen and surrounding communities. But the supplies we include aren’t always the same as what’s used in U.S. or Canadian classrooms.
Here’s what goes into a standard 4th grade backpack pack in Mexico:
We aim for uniformity and quality so that every student receives a complete and dignified kit. If you’re donating supplies, we kindly ask that they be:
- New and unused
- Appropriate for children ages 6–15
- Not branded with political or adult-themed content
We accept full backpacks or individual items in any quantity. Backpacks are always needed, especially for primary and middle school students.
Technology & Equipment
- Used but functional laptops (factory reset)
- Projectors, speakers, or classroom tech
- Office printers or ink refills
- Foldable tables or plastic chairs
- Lockable storage cabinets
📍 Items can be dropped off in Playa del Carmen or coordinated via our team.
Printed Materials & Creative Services
- Printed flyers, signage, or event materials
- Volunteer manuals or student handbooks
- Graphic design or layout assistance

- Video editing
These contributions help us run events, present student stories, and build professional tools for learning and outreach.
