CECYTE students singing Xmas songs in English!

The high school students with whom KKIS volunteers have been practicing conversational English all Fall semester repaid us with big smiles and Christmas songs in English.  Each class presented one song and dance routine.

The  kids were waiting to perform sitting in red plastic chairs everywhere and the bleachers were full. These were all 5th semester students who will graduate in the Spring. Another year of students had constructed Christmas decorations from recycled materials which were on display.

.A long table for invited guests was set up under the sports dome on campus where KKIS volunteers were joined by the school director. Teacher Karla Hernandez welcomed us, then each group of her students faced us and sang their hearts out.
