Elvis has made another appearance in the Riviera Maya!
KKIS volunteer and Elvis’ alter-ego, Mark Stevenz and his wife Nicky who recently moved to Mexico, are being featured by HDTV hit show House Hunters International. Yesterday’s performance in Xpu ha for KKIS Scholars from CETMAR high school will be included in the upcoming show expected out in November!
Mark and Nicky volunteer with the KKIS Conversation Club, helping local public high school students practice their English. When House Hunters asked about their lives in Mexico, Mark and Nicky shared their passion for Keeping Kids in School and it was soon agreed to include the KKIS Project in the program.
It turned out to be a beautiful day! Elvis entertained the students and mentors with his music and then the students enjoyed a relaxing day playing in the clear turquoise water.
This outing was a wonderful opportunity for the students and their mentors to get to know each other better. We hope to continue deepen these relationships with more excursions in the future.
