Monthly on Fridays February through May, KKIS sponsored lunch for primary school students who attend the field trip to visit the Civil Engineers and Architects Association. The Architects and Civil Engineers give a great talk to the students, opening their eyes to these honorable and interesting professions and then take them outside to get their hands dirty learning the craft of building a wall or painting.
In our last newsletter we reported how, “…with great storytelling finesse, the Engineers & Architects spoke about designing and constructing buildings, bridges, and tunnels; ensuring that the public is safe and the environment protected.”
This program is one of our favorites! We are hoping that next year, we can develop something similar with the Civil Engineers and Architects for students in secondary.
